How a Broken Projector Sparked a Hyper-Local Shopping Revolution

How a broken projector revealed the missing piece in local commerce
It started during a high-stakes meeting in Islamabad. The boardroom was packed, client executives seated, and the presentation was about to begin when the projector gave out. The video cable failed, leaving the room in an awkward pause.
Looking around at the frantic troubleshooting, Umair turned to his team: 'Can we find a replacement cable or projector nearby right now? Isn't there an electronics store around the corner?'
Nobody had an answer. Team members opened e-commerce delivery apps and found shipping times of 2 to 4 business days. Food apps could deliver a warm meal in 30 minutes, yet there was no way to know if an HDMI cable was sitting in a shop 5 minutes away.
He realized the absurdity: less than 500 meters down the commercial boulevard, local electronics retailers had the exact hardware sitting on their shelves. The products were already there—simply invisible to digital search.
That disconnect became the spark: 'Why not make an app for quick shopping? What if you could search your neighborhood, see verified in-stock items, reserve with one click, and pick them up in minutes?'
As CEO of Enscyd Technologies and CTO at Alif Tech, Umair assembled a team of product designers, engineers, and retail strategists to build Everystore in April 2026. Today it bridges digital convenience and neighborhood trust—'Online Ki Range, Local Ki Tasalli'.
The Meeting Glitch
During a critical client meeting in Islamabad, the conference room projector suddenly broke down minutes before a major presentation. Everything stalled.
The Unanswered Question
Umair asked the room: 'Can we find a replacement cable or projector nearby right now?' Nobody knew. Delivery apps showed 2 to 4 business days.
